Thing 9

Using the Big Huge Labs was simple and fun!!! The students will take pleasure in using the image generator to create all kinds of pictures to share with their peers.
Both sites made it quite simple to create innovative pictures students will enjoy showing off.

Thing 8

!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Using the Spell with Flickr was very fascinating. And best of all it was extremely easy to use. I think it would be a really cute tool my students could use to create school flyers or classroom newsletters.

Thing 7

The great thing about Flickr is that it allows you to access photos from any computer. The photo sharing website affords you the opportunity to share your photos with friends/family and students. The students can view photos related to the current lesson on the Flickr website. I found it very easy to upload some of my photos to Flickr.

Thing 5

I found a great website on the benefits of RSS feeds. The website also includes information that can be delivered on RSS feeds.

Thing 4

There is sooooo much information at our finger tips. RSS is a great time saving tool. It brings the information you want to one place.

Thing 2 & Thing 3

Blogs are a great tool to use with your students. The use of blogs gives students the ability to read and comment/reflect on each other’s online posts. It is also a great away to further productive conversations amongst the students.
As a teacher, blogs can be used as a professional reflection/online journal of daily events. I found a great example of a reflection blog by Kim Confino’s.
Blogs are also used as a way to share information to your viewers. Jeff Utecht has a great informational blog.
